We proudly accept all major commercial insurance plans and every Georgia Medicaid CMO, because high-quality lactation care should be accessible to every family.
Lactation Consultation
Whether you prefer in-person consultations at our offices, the convenience of telemedicine, or the comfort of your own home, our team of lactation consultants is here to provide compassionate and evidence-based care. We work with you to determine what is best for you and your baby, offering guidance and support every step of the way.
Insurance Breast Pump Purchase
At least 85% of lactating parents will use a breast pump at least part of the time. Whether it’s for a baby with special needs, the mother’s preference, or a myriad of reasons, breast pumping has become a fact of life for most families. Even so, many of our patients are frustrated by outdated or conflicting advice from lactation professionals. We are here to change that.
Breast Pump Rental
Breastfeed Atlanta is the only Atlanta provider of both Ameda and Medela hospital-grade breast pump rentals. We can provide you with the information you need to select the best breast pump for your lifestyle. For your convenience, we offer in-home delivery, shipping options, or in-office pickup.
Classes / Groups
Our classes offer more than just breastfeeding education - they provide a unique combination of clinical assistance, peer support, and education. In a group visit setting, you have the chance to connect with other parents and form lasting friendships, which is not always possible in traditional care. We believe in the power of community and are here to support you every step of the way.
Breastfeeding Medicine Specialty
During this visit, we address breastfeeding and lactation problems that might be more complex than what is usually covered in a typical lactation consult. These visits are performed or directly supervised by Advanced Practice Nurse-IBCLCs with an expanded scope of practice. Additionally, you also might be offered prescription medications, lab tests, or special therapeutic procedures.
Perinatal Mental Health
Perinatal mental health disorders are the most common complication of childbirth, affecting up to 20% of all birthing parents of every culture, age, and income level. Postpartum depression and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) encompass a spectrum of conditions that can occur anytime during pregnancy and within the first 12 months after childbirth. PMADs include anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and others. All birthing parents need support and access to care, and deserve to feel better. There is so much help (and hope!) available.
